Radio Showcase - RISE meets Refuge Worldwide
Knowing the importance of moving the hips. In 2019 AL.Berlin started a series of monthly SWANA POP rituals/parties called AL.RQS AL.RQS الرقص is a word in Arabic that means "The Dance". AL refers to the definite Arabic article, and RQS is Dance. The Q refers to this party being a safe Queer space. And it's also colourful like Queerness is. We will celebrate Tag Der Club Kultur this year on Friday, the 6.10, with an exceptional AL.RQS party, which will be a collaboration with the RomaTrial at the Grüner Salon at Volkbühne. The multi-award-winning transcultural Roma organization RomaTrial organizes film and art festivals, cultural and political education work for young people and adults, creative theatre and film projects, summer schools and seminars against Antigypsyism to bring the complex problems of Antigypsyism into the minds of society and of creating new spaces in the society for Romani perspectives.

RISE MUSIC
Since 2015, the Berlin collective RISE has established itself as a communicator of the multicultural electronic scene in Berlin with a focus on African culture. As a label and simultaneous event series, the brand and the events became an internationally recognized platform for artists* with multi-ethnic backgrounds. In the event series, which was conceived as a "safe space," artists were able to present their connection to Africa and their talent to a larger audience in the techno stronghold of Berlin. This has gradually established a strong network between Berlin and the global African electronic scene. Over 40 events with more than 50 artists in Berlin and internationally enabled a lively exchange between the individual scenes.
